Original plein air painting | 12×9” | oil on panel
Columbia, California
When I lived in Columbia, I regularly hiked into the manzanita-arched hillsides on the BLM property behind my house. Even though it was on public land, we wanted to keep the location of our newly-found path a special secret. I loved the challenge of hiking and speaking as quiet as possible out there, as incognito as the local mountain lion that certainly waited in hiding for me to finish painting.
