Original plein air painting | 12×9” | oil on panel
Eagle Creek, Dardanelle, California
My best friend’s cabin is near this creek, so I’ve spent many wonderful years watching its flow vary through spring, summer and fall. The epic winter of 2024 provided a spectacularly screaming runoff. As I painted, I was refreshed often with splashes from the rhythm of the rapids colliding against obstacles underneath.
